Principal's Message

Welcome to Ada Givens Elementary School!

It is a true honor to serve as the Principal of Givens Elementary School. At Givens, we are committed to creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where all students can thrive. Our students are given access to a rigorous, standards-based curriculum in a supportive environment, where we have high expectations for their academic growth and development as responsible young individuals.

At Givens, we believe in the importance of good behavior, and our expectations are based on the Triple R's: Respect, Responsibility, and Ready to Learn. These principles guide our positive behavior system, fostering a respectful and safe space for every student to succeed.

Elementary school is a special time of growth, where students begin to explore their potential and prepare for their future. During these years, students not only develop academically but also learn the skills needed to be responsible citizens. At Givens, we provide many opportunities for students to grow as leaders through school activities and programs designed to encourage leadership.  We are dedicated to helping students become 21st-century learners, equipping them with essential skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and teamwork.

As Principal, I always welcome the opportunity to meet with you. We greatly value the involvement of our parents and encourage you to participate in our Parent-Teacher-School-Club (PTSC), School Site Council (SSC), or English Learner Advisory Committees (ELAC/DELAC).
